TalentSpring gets better every week. Today's newest improvement is our new landing page.
- We are a resume aggregator across resume databases (like Monster, CareerBuilder, HotJobs, niche job boards, etc.)
- We include passive candidates from the open web, including social networks
- We are a semantic search engine for resumes because we rank resumes based on how well resumes match the needs in the job description
- We allow employers to go directly to the top candidates based on a deep and exacting match to their job opening -- without having to use keyword search like boolean search.

With many people laid off right now I think many people are taking the opportunity to really land a position doing something they really enjoy. That is not always that easy to locate and this looks like a great way to find those hard to find jobs.

I find this approach good on one hand but very Poor on another. It appears you take a large pool of candidates and rely only on how well the resume is written. We all know that most candidates do not match their resume. Either they are better than the resume or very Bad compared to what they have written.

Hi Tom,
Some candidates have good resumes -- and some has poor resumes. The candidates with poor resumes will hurt themselves. Candidates who make great employees and work hard at the hiring process can turn those poor resumes into good resumes with some effort.
The recruiting world already has to deal with the quality of resumes, so that isn't specific to us at all. People in recruiting often don't care about candidates who create poor resumes. If a candidate isn't going to spend the time to clearly get across what they are good at, then the recruiter is fine if they go to the bottom of the pile of resumes. The ball is in the court of the candidate when they have a poor resume.
TalentSpring allows our customers to access over 110 million resumes, which means that they will find people who are great matches at the resume level.
